Suggesting improvements and voting on other people's ideas
Where to propose what's missing in DayAlly, how review works, and what each status means.
Missing something? The Suggestions channel is where that becomes an idea other people can vote on — and where you follow what's coming.
Where it is
At the bottom of the sidebar, next to Settings. On mobile, through your avatar menu in the top-right corner.
How to propose
- Tap New suggestion.
- Write a short title. As you type, "Similar to…" shows ideas that already exist — if yours is there, vote on it instead of creating another one.
- Describe the problem it solves and how you imagine it working.
- Send it. The suggestion shows up under Mine as In review.
Every suggestion goes through a quick review before being published. That's what keeps the list free of duplicates and noise. Once approved, it shows up for everyone as Under consideration.
Voting
Each card has the vote button on the left, with the count. One vote per person per idea; tap again to remove it. Everyone who voted is notified when the idea ships.
Read-only accounts (trial ended without a plan) can still read and vote — they just can't propose or comment.
What each status means
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| In review | Received, not yet published. Only you can see it. |
| Under consideration | Published, open for votes. |
| Planned | It's on the roadmap. |
| In progress | Being built. |
| Shipped | It's in DayAlly. Everyone who voted gets a notification. |
| Declined | Not happening for now. The reason is visible on the suggestion, and the author is notified. |
Every status shows how long ago it was updated — so nobody has to guess whether a quiet idea was forgotten.
Comments
Inside each suggestion you can comment — context, use cases, a "me too". Team comments are highlighted as official responses. You can delete your own; the team can delete any.
Notifications
You're notified at two moments: when an idea you voted for ships, and when a suggestion of yours is declined (with the reason). It goes by push notification if the app is installed; otherwise, by email.
Limits
Up to 5 suggestions and 20 comments per day. Title between 8 and 120 characters; description between 20 and 2000.
Frequently asked questions
My suggestion disappeared from the list. It was probably merged into a similar one. Open it under Mine: there's a link to the main suggestion, and your vote is already there.
Can I edit it after sending? Not today. If you need to fix something, comment on the suggestion itself.
What happens to my suggestions if I delete my account? They stay, without your name — other people's votes keep counting. They're also included in your data export.
